My Google Reader Shared Items for February 23rd through February 28th:

  • Angel Learning To Throttle Up Digital Media, Content Management in Updated LMS – I had the opportunity to view some of these enhanced features back in October and they are great. Angel is really turning their attention to the K-12 market and I believe their future releases will be more K-12 friendly.
  • Signs of a Significant Disruption in the Traditional Textbook Model – I saw this as a tweet from @seani and wanted to pass it along. This is significant that the state is willing to redefine what constitutes a textbook. I only wish that California would follow suit. We're so broke in this state and districts keep throwing dollars year after year to purchase textbooks that are outdated by the time they're released. I keep thinking that kids should have Kindle's with e-books. Actually, netbooks would be better because they would then have full Internet capability.
  • TweetMapping Archaeology – This is very cool and obviously has a lot of business applications. This definitely could be used in a class when studying a certain subject or topic. Think I'd like to give this a try and integrate into a tech class for fall.
  • Best Practices in Live Synchronous Online Teaching – These are some good technical/preparatory tips for teaching using Elluminate/Wimba/Connect/WizIQ, etc.
  • Track Your Daily Goals With Twitter – This is interesting, but do my followers really want to see my daily goals and my progress against them each day? I guess that's probably more interesting than some of my status updates ;^)
