My Shared Items for July 20th through July 21st:
- SketchUp goes to the Moon – This is a really cool project launched in release of the Moon in Google Earth.
- TheUserManualSite.com – We found it so you don't have to! – I had already begun archiving my user manuals to Google Docs when I ran across this. This is great and a way to get a bit greener. You can still download them whenever you want, but you don't have to. I hope manufacturers begin to shift some effort away from producing paper manuals to putting them online.
- eLearn: Best Practices – Good tips here that I think I'll share with the online teachers at my school. Live on the web takes a lot of preparation, but the payoff can be so worth it.
- Google Wave – First Impressions (Ben Rometsch/Solid State Group) – Great review from a developer on some of the pros & cons of Google Wave as it exists in its current state. I am highly anticipating the release of this as I truly believe it's going to completely alter the way we communicate online en masse in real time.
- Official Google Docs Blog: Making presentations better with tables and auto-play – Google has taken one step closer to being the PPT killer. When will they take on the graphically rich Keynote?
- Google Wave Developer Blog: Google Wave: Updates from today's hackathon – Wow! I am very excited to see that they'll be making a beta version available beginning September 30. I hope I am selected to test this out!
